One Group Booking or Ten Separate Tickets

Count the booking references. One group locator is a group booking. Ten record locators are ten tickets. The fare can look similar. The rules are not. If the airline cancels, moves a flight, or you still owe three names, ten tickets means ten problems.

A group flight for 10 or more people should be one contract and one booking reference, not a stack of individual tickets bought in the same hour. Ask for the locator before you pay a deposit. If the document lists a different 6-character code for each passenger, you do not have a group booking yet.[1]

Easy Group Flights, operated by Pelican Travel s.r.o. in Bratislava, sells that single contract for groups of 10 or more.[1] This page is the document test. It is not a fare comparison. When a group fare beats separate tickets on price is a different article: when a group fare beats individual tickets.

The test

Open the document you were sent. Ignore the logo. Count the codes.

What you see What you have What breaks
One group name or group locator for the whole party A group booking You still need the deposit and name rules in writing
One 6-character code, many names under it Usually one booking Confirm it is a group PNR, not one person's ticket forwarded ten times
A different 6-character code per person Separate tickets Cancellation, names, and invoices do not move together
A screenshot of a search, no code Nothing held Do not pay a deposit against a search

A 6-character code is a record locator. It is not, by itself, proof of a group fare. One code with one name is one ticket. One code with the party listed, or a group reference the airline recognizes as a group, is what you are buying. If you cannot tell which you were sent, you do not understand the contract yet. Ask before you pay.

The check before money moves is here: before you pay a deposit.

Why organizers get this wrong

The emails look the same. Each message has a passenger name, a flight, and a code. A helpful volunteer then forwards ten of them into one folder and calls it "the group booking."

It is a folder. The airline does not see a folder.

When the return is cancelled, each ticket follows its own rule. One passenger is rebooked. Another is not, because that ticket was a different fare. The school still needs one bus at one time. That split is the failure. A Brno listing describes a milder version of the same silence on a single trip: the flight was cancelled and the seller did not know.[5] Ten tickets multiply the number of people who can be the last to know.

What one booking is for

Use one booking when any of these are true.

Separate tickets are fine when the group is small, every seat is still for sale at a price you accept, and nobody has to travel on the same booking as anyone else. They are a bad plan for a wedding guest list that is not final, or a class that must be on one flight with one teacher contact.

What to ask for in the quote

Ask for these three lines in the reply, not after you have paid.

  1. Will this be one group locator, or one code per person?
  2. Which names can be added later, and until what date?
  3. If the airline cancels, does the replacement stay on that same group locator?

If the answer to the first question is "we will book them individually to save money," read the fare comparison before you agree. Cheap separate tickets are sometimes cheaper. They are not a group booking with the price rubbed off. Group airfare vs individual tickets.

Send the route here: https://easygroupflights.com/#quote. Say the headcount and how many names are still unknown. A quote that hides the locator type is not finished.

What this does not prove

One locator does not prove the company is sound. It proves the seats are in one booking. The company behind Easy Group Flights is Pelican Travel s.r.o.[1] Public reviews of that company are mostly retail tickets. The record, including the weak Brno score, is in Is Easy Group Flights reliable?. Use both pages. The document test and the company test are not substitutes.

The site states it is IATA accredited.[1] That statement does not tell you whether your file is one locator or ten. Only the document does.

FAQ

Is a group booking always cheaper than ten tickets?

No. Sometimes separate tickets are cheaper on the day. The point of one booking is that the party stays together under one set of rules. Compare the fare only after you know which product you are being offered.

Can a travel agent send me ten tickets and still call it a group?

They can call it that. The airline will not treat it as one group if there are ten locators. Trust the codes, not the subject line.

What if we already bought some tickets?

Stop buying the rest until you know whether the seats already held can sit inside a group contract. Mixing five retail tickets and one group locator is how a class ends up on two flights. Write the current codes into the quote form and ask before you add more: https://easygroupflights.com/#quote

Does one invoice mean one booking?

No. Finance can receive one bill for ten tickets. That is a payment convenience. It is not one airline record. Ask for both if you need both. One invoice explains the finance side.

Who is the company on an Easy Group Flights contract?

Pelican Travel s.r.o., Pribinova 17954/10, Bratislava, as stated on the site.[1] The brand on the website is not a second airline.
